2016 Special Sessions

A Special Session is a session/symposium presented at the Annual Meetings that does not fit into a division/community program. It is, typically, broader scope, and the interest and subject matter may cross multiple divisions, communities, or societies.

Before submitting, read the 2016 Special Session Guidelines.

Submissions are open Dec. 15, 2015 – Feb. 26, 2016.


2016 tours

A tour is a professional field trip that occurs prior to, during or following the Annual Meeting.

Submissions are open Dec. 15, 2015 – Feb. 26, 2016.

2016 workshops

A workshop is an interactive educational program for a relatively small group of people that emphasizes exchange of ideas and the demonstration and application of techniques, skills, etc.

2016 Abstract Dates & Deadlines

Abstract submissions open March 15.

Early abstract deadline: May 24, 4:00 PM CDT
Final abstract deadline: June 7, 4:00 PM CDT
Program published online: Last week in July
Abstract editing deadline: Aug. 25*, 4:00 PM CDT
*This is the editing deadline for the printed program book and abstract CD. Edits can continue to be made for the online program and app.

  Professional members and all non-members

  $50   $75

  Graduate and undergraduate student members*
  *You must be a student member of the Societies.



Student Advisors: Your student must submit their own abstract. Students must be signed in as themselves in order to receive the discounted student abstract rate.
